About WQS

WQS Consultants has been operating since 2019. Having worked for a multitude of large main contractors and completed my own developments, I found the levels of knowledge and understanding varied dramatically form one client/contractor to the next. It was this disparity in knowledge the sowed the seed for the creation of WQS Consultants. In the five plus years the company has been operating we have assisted numerous people, from mum and dad developers to main contractor’s i understanding the financial and contractual aspects of a project to allow for a greater certainty in budget control, contractual knowledge and quotation evaluation.

To date we have assisted people for mall works of life through out New Zealand on a wide ranging scope of services.

Meet the team

  • Scott

    Scott’s passion for construction started earlier in his career.  While working as an aircraft engineer he completed several property renovations.  Having held various senior quantity surveying and contract manager roles within some of New Zealand's biggest commercial construction companies, he established WQS 5 years ago.  Having been a property developer for a number of years Scott's knowledge on risks, pricing and regulations is of a very high standard.  He has an excellent working knowledge of standard construction contracts and experience compiling bespoke contracts for specific projects.

    Scott's dedication to delivering successful projects while managing risks effectively makes him a valuable asset to any construction team. His wealth of experience and expertise in contract management contribute significantly to the success of projects from conception to completion.

  • Ryan

    With over 8 years of experience, Ryan excels in the tender/estimation aspect of the business due to his meticulous attention to detail. He is highly skilled in performing take-offs and scheduling, supported by his in-depth knowledge of various building trades acquired during years of on-site visits while working with subcontractors and main contractors. Ryan's expertise and dedication make him a valuable asset to any project team.

  • Roy

    Roy is a seasoned Quantity Surveyor with 7 years of comprehensive experience in the field. With a strong background in both residential and commercial projects, he brings a well-rounded wealth of knowledge to the table.

    His expertise lies in navigating standard build contracts with ease, managing processes for claims, variation submissions, and final accounts efficiently. Roy's proficiency extends to conducting detailed take offs and providing on-site support for clients and contractors alike.
